  Well, actually I just looked up the history online or was told it by friends so I'm not really an expert!
  
  Next weekend I'd like to see the lantern festival in Beijing, maybe visit a temple... watch this space :)

  Great place and nice photos. It seems a more interesting place than Nanjing. hehe~ I'll definitely go there to have a look when I have a chance. I have a question. Why did you say it was not a typical coastal city?

  Well, in the UK there are no coastal cities with have such a huge population or which are still under such heavy development. Traditionally you might associate them with old-fashioned seaside holiday destinations. Qingdao is certainly a long way from this!
